Model United Nations is an educational simulation of the United Nations. Schools from all around the country attend conferences to discuss issues related to diplomacy and international relations. Students in the club research different nations’ policies on various issues, then represent them as delegates at conferences, arguing for those policies in formal debate. The club attends several conferences each year.

The first conference the club attended this past year was the Bard Model United Nations Conference (BardMUNC), held at Annandale­on­Hudson, New York, on November 14. Over 100 delegates from Bard­affiliated High Schools and the neighboring area attended the conference. The BHSEC Manhattan team won Best Delegation, which commends the team that works together most effectively.
